Communities across Alaska Partner with 49 Writers to Celebrate Alaska Book Week

Alaska Book Week 2013 is shaping into the biggest celebration yet. With months to go, libraries in Valdez, Kenai, Cordova, Craig, Unalaska, Anchorage, and Dillingham have already confirmed participation, as well as booksellers in Soldotna, Homer, Sitka, Ketchikan, Fairbanks, Haines, and Palmer!

Save the Date: Alaska Book Week Book Fair
October 11-12 at Alaska Pacific University

This fall, our week-long statewide celebration of Alaska's authors and their books will culminate in a two-day book fair in Anchorage. The first annual ABW Book Fair is a collaboration between the Alaska Writers Guild and Alaska Pacific University, with support from 49 Writers.

Highlights will include a guest speaker in APU's Grant Hall Theatre on Friday night, and author readings and workshops throughout the day on Saturday in the lecture hall and classrooms adjacent to the Carr-Gottstein atrium.
