This is your last chance to participate in the first annual Great Alaska Book Fair, a celebration of Alaska Book Week sponsored by The Alaska Writers Guild, Alaska Pacific University, and the Alaska Dispatch, with support from 49 Writers, organizers of Alaska Book Week. The Book Fair will take place on Saturday, Oct. 12, 10am–5pm, interspersed with author readings, and is free to the public. Half-tables are available for $20; a whole table is $35.
This is a great opportunity to sell your book, meet new readers, greet fans, and read from your work. Set up will take place the evening of Friday, Oct. 11, 5–6pm in the atrium of Carr-Gottstein Hall on the APU campus. There will be an opening reception from 6–7:30pm, then featured speaker Don Rearden will give a talk, 7:30–8:30pm.
Plus! Don't miss editor Ali McCart's author workshop on "The New World of Publishing," Thursday, Oct. 10, 6–9pm, in the Carr Gottstein Building at Alaska Pacific University. Registration is $35 for members of The Alaska Writers Guild and 49 Writers and $50 for non-members.
