Erin Mckittrick author events

During Alaska Book Week, there will be several opportunities to meet Erin Mckittrick, author of Small Feet, Big Land, on her book tour of the state: 

Friday, Oct. 4, 5pm: Talkeetna Roadhouse
Saturday, Oct. 5, 5pm: Gulliver's Books in Fairbanks
Monday, Oct. 7, 6:30 pm: Haines Library
Thursday, Oct. 10: Centennial Hall in Juneau

Erin, author of A Long Trek Home and Small Feet, Big Land, is co-founder and director of Ground Truth Trekking, a nonprofit organization devoted to educating and engaging the public on Alaska's natural resource issues through a combination of wilderness adventure, scientific analysis, and the creation of web resources. She received a MS in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington in 2005, following a BA in biology from Carleton College in 2001. Along with her husband, Hig, Erin has been exploring the Alaskan wilderness for more than a decade, logging over 7,500 miles.
